In my early career (from 1999 – 2005) I worked in solid waste management for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, water supply in Tanzania, on-site wastewater management and soil testing for foundations.
From 2006 – 2009 I worked as a hydraulic engineer with Hobart City Council, managing the program for the construction of new, and upgrading of old water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure.
In 2009 Southern Water was created to take over the provision of public water and sewer servicing in Southern Tasmania, and so I moved to there as well. At Southern Water I managed a team responsible for planning and risk management support associated with the delivery of Southern Water’s services.
In 2011 I worked for a short period with SEMF Consulting engineers working on Civil engineering projects for Industrial, Mining and Water Supply Projects.
From 2012 – 2014 I worked as a Civil Engineer with Hutchings Spurr. My work there was mostly the structural design of housing and other low rise buildings, and civil design for subdivisions.
In 2014 I started my own engineering consultancy, providing various engineering services relating to residential and low rise construction, and a vision to collaborate in the creation of healthy, functional and sustainable buildings.
